We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming 2026–2027 school year! Our administration has worked diligently, prayed intentionally, and planned strategically to make this our best year yet. Every decision has been made with one purpose in mind, to honor Christ and provide our students with an exceptional educational experience.
Our standard focus and missional aim at Lakeside is "One Way... His Way." We believe that the greatest path to excellence is not simply doing things the right way, but doing them God's way. As a school family, we are committed to pursuing excellence through a distinctly biblical worldview in every classroom, every hallway, every athletic competition, and every interaction.
My primary goal is to establish Lakeside as a Distinctly Christian School. We do not want to be a school that merely carries the Christian name; we desire to be a school that reflects the character of Christ in everything we do. Our faith is not an addition to our education, it is the foundation of it. Every subject points to God's truth. Every opportunity is a chance to develop Christian character. Every student is created in the image of God and possesses incredible purpose.
This year, we will be unapologetically Christian in our academics, athletics, fine arts, student leadership, and the overall culture of our campus. We believe that when Christ is lifted high, He will continue to draw students, families, faculty, and staff who desire an authentic Christ-centered education. Our goal is not simply to graduate knowledgeable students but to develop disciples, servant leaders, and young men and women who will influence their generation for Jesus Christ.
Our student theme this year is "Revival," inspired by Ezekiel 37 and the vision of the valley of dry bones. We believe God is still breathing life into hearts today. We are praying with expectation that this year will be marked by genuine spiritual awakening across our campus. We believe for salvations, rededications, baptisms, restored families, and students who boldly live out their faith. We want our students to know that Christianity is not simply a religion to study but a relationship with Jesus Christ that transforms every area of life.
As part of that vision, it is my desire to begin a monthly Parent Bible Study and Prayer Gathering. We recognize that the partnership between home, church, and school is essential. We want to encourage, equip, and pray alongside our families because we believe that when strong families are built, strong students are formed. Together, we will continue teaching the next generation that the only true way to live is His Way.
Our faculty theme this year is Second Mile Service. In Matthew 5:41, Jesus said, "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two." During Jesus' day, a Roman soldier could legally require someone to carry his equipment for one mile. Jesus challenged His followers to willingly carry it a second mile. That second mile represented something no law could require, it was an act of grace, humility, generosity, and love.
That is the spirit we want to embody at Lakeside. We refuse to settle for doing the minimum. Our teachers, coaches, administrators, and staff will strive to serve beyond expectations because our calling is greater than a profession, it is a ministry. Whether inside the classroom, on the athletic field, or greeting families each morning, we want every person who walks onto our campus to experience the love of Christ through extraordinary service.
This year also brings exciting opportunities for our students. We are thrilled to introduce new student clubs, a renewed and more engaging chapel experience, expanded community service opportunities, Student Government Association (SGA), leadership development initiatives, school spirit events, and many other experiences designed to help every student grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
We want Lakeside to be a place where students love to learn, teachers love to teach, parents love to partner, and Christ is honored in all things. We want our hallways filled with joy, our classrooms filled with curiosity, our athletic teams filled with character, and our campus filled with the presence of God.
This is more than another school year, it is an opportunity to build something that will impact generations. Excellence will be our standard. Integrity will be our reputation. Christ will be our foundation. Together, we will cultivate a culture where students are challenged to think biblically, serve faithfully, lead courageously, and pursue God's purpose for their lives.
The future of Lakeside is bright, and we cannot wait to see all that God has in store. Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year.
One Way... His Way.
