Big things are happening at Lakeside Christian Academy, and we are honored to officially introduce the newest member of our leadership team—Pastor Ryan T. Perkins, our newly appointed Principal.
At a time when our school is preparing for unprecedented growth, increased enrollment, new programs, and greater community impact, we believe that God has appointed the right leader for this new season. Pastor Perkins brings not only educational and administrative experience, but a deep spiritual passion and a commitment to raising up the next generation of bold, Christ-centered leaders.
Meet Our New Principal: Pastor Ryan T. Perkins
Pastor Ryan T. Perkins is a passionate Kingdom leader, educator, and visionary with over two decades of pastoral and community leadership. As the Senior Pastor of Pure In Heart Worship Center, he has faithfully shepherded believers across Louisiana while extending his reach through national faith movements like the Read Your Bible Initiative and local college campus ministry.
His journey into ministry began at just 19 years old, when he gave his life to Christ and launched a student-led campus ministry at Southern University. Since then, he has worn many hats—Bible and History teacher, chapel speaker, basketball coach, and John Maxwell Certified Life Coach—all with a consistent mission: to build faith, integrity, and purpose in the next generation.
Mr. Perkins is a graduate of Northlake Christian School, holds a Bachelor’s degree in History, a Master’s degree in Social Work, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry at South College. His personal motto, “Be for others what they weren’t for you,” encapsulates his heart for servant leadership and his desire to walk with students through every stage of their spiritual and academic development.
He and his wife, Taylor Perkins, have been married for 17 years and are parents to six biological children and five beloved children added to their family by the grace of God—a testimony to their commitment to faith and family.
Now, as Principal of Lakeside Christian Academy in Slidell, Louisiana, Mr. Perkins is laser-focused on raising lions in the faith—young men and women who are bold, grounded in truth, and ready to influence the world for Christ.

Preparing for Growth, Impact, and Opportunity
Lakeside Christian Academy has been growing at an extraordinary pace since opening its doors in 2016. This growth isn’t just numerical—it’s spiritual, academic, and missional, and it shows the great need in the city of Slidell for a strong, spirit-filled Christian school. God is opening new doors for us, and we are walking through them with faith, strategy, and purpose.
We are preparing for:
A future campus expansion to accommodate more families in the next few years with the land we own on Bayou Liberty, just around the corner from our current campus.
Upgraded technology and classroom equipment in the immediate future.
New extracurricular programs in athletics, unique electives, and a renewed focus on STEM initiatives.
A stronger spiritual development track, including chapels, spiritual emphasis weeks, Bible studies and classes, and community service efforts.
Continued professional development for our staff and administrators, including training at Abeka’s Principal’s Clinic, Biblical Worldview training through our friends at RenewaNation and Bob Jones Press and the Louisiana Department of Education’s upcoming Teacher/Leader Summit this June!
Our mission remains the same: to partner with families to develop strong minds, strong faith, and strong futures. With Mr. Perkins at the helm, we are more confident than ever that this mission will be carried out with excellence and conviction.
